A little checking turns a good idea into a good night. Run through these before you leave.

  1. Which days does it run? Don't assume it's available every day.
  2. What are the exact start and end times? Are they strict, or does the kitchen close earlier?
  3. Is it bar-only? Some specials don't apply to tables or patios.
  4. Does it include food? Appetizer specials can matter as much as drink prices.
  5. Which drinks, specifically? "Discounted drinks" can mean a short list.
  6. Are there limits? A minimum purchase, a drink cap, or dine-in only.
  7. Does it change on game days or holidays? Check for schedule exceptions.
  8. How busy might it be? Consider arriving early if you want to avoid a wait.
  9. Do you need a reservation? Ask the venue if you're bringing a group.
  10. What's the seating like? Patio, bar stools, high-tops, and booths all suit different plans.

Keep the list on your phone and you'll rarely get surprised.
